All steers being shown at county and major livestock shows across the state must be state validated and tagged. Steer tag cost is $11.00 each and must be received in Extension Office by April 8th.
Heifers going to State Fair in Dallas must be validated this spring. Heifers only have to be validated one time in show career, so if you validated for last fall, there will be no need for spring validation. A fall validation will occur for heifers purchased this summer and fall. Heifer validation cost is $11.00 and must be received in Extension Office by April 8th
