Dear Parents,

Congratulations on a successful show season. Now it is time to reflect and prepare for 2017. On behalf of the Wheeler County Livestock Show Association (WCLSA), I am inviting you to become involved in the WCLSA Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting is to be held before the general membership to adopt rule changes. Membership dues are $5 per person and are due prior to the Annual Meeting. You must be a member in good standing to be eligible to vote. The Annual Meeting is scheduled for 7:00PM April 4, 2016 at the Wheeler County Ag and Family Life Center.
A copy of the 2016 show rules can be picked up at the Extension Office for your review. If interested, I encourage you to review the rules and be prepared to make positive/constructive comments and suggestions for any changes that are for the good of the Junior Livestock Show. Any rule changes from the membership should be submitted in writing to the Extension Office by 5pm on March 21st. Motions can be made from the floor, but must pass by a two-thirds majority as indicated in our by-laws. The annual meeting is also the time that we rotate directors, set the schedule and nominate judges.
Additionally, I would ask you to look at your communities and encourage new people to become involved. I greatly appreciate all of the effort that everyone puts into making the livestock projects and the County Livestock Show a success.
